A facebook user and Human Rights Activist/Social crusader shared a photo of a young woman identified to be step sister to Ebonyi State Governor Davi Umahi begging on the street of Abakaliki.
Though this report have not been confirmed by Governor Umahi or any of his family members. However, the poster urged the Governor to help and empower the lady to stay off the street.

COULD THIS BE TRUE?
Few days ago, I went with a friend to Okpoku Nri (a popular restaurant for only African dishes located somewhere here in Abakaliki) to savour our usual local delicacies.
We had finished eating and were about zooming off when my friend tapped my shoulder, pointing to the opposite direction and rumoured;
“Bros, look at that woman standing there. Do you see that Lady standing to buy some kerosene over there?”
“Yes! Yes! Who is she?” I retorted.
My friend told me in absolute certainty that the lady is our Governor’s sister (a step sister though) and that her name is Grace Nweze Umahi married to one Mr Ogah of Ezza North. I was so shock as I doubted him. But he sounded so sure.
He even explained further that out of frustration and hunger, Grace had to meet Dr Nora Alo, (the Ezza North Council boss) and begged her for help. Out of her magnanimity and in sure knowledge that she’s truly the younger sister to the governor,(her Boss), Nora accepted her. That she is currently serving Dr Nora Alo who allegedly maltreats and ridicules her and she goes about begging for help.
Oh my God! This can’t be true; I argued.
“How can a sister to governor Umahi, Chief Austin Umahi, Barr Roy Umahi, HRM Igwe Umahi, be looking this poor, pitiful and beggarly, looking for where to buy kerosene on the streets of Abakaliki?”
I murmured.
At least I know that God has so much blessed and exalted the Umahi dynasty that none of the descendants should ever know poverty.
If truly that Grace is the governor’s sister, why is her case different? Why should Grace be starving in the midst of plenty?
Therefore, I want to humbly appeal to His Excellency, my dear governor,
my workaholic governor,
the governor of all governors,
the envy of other governors,
the infrastructural giant,
the most intelligent governor,
the Akubaraoha worldwide,
an astute Engineer;
the Political magician,
the social warlock;
I beg him in the name of God, if truly Grace is his sister, let him forgive her if there is any way she may have erred as an imperfect human and transform her the way he has transformed Ebonyi State.
Let him please empower Grace the way he has empowered many Ebonyi youths.
Grace Nweze Umahi deserves better.
May God help her.
